Osbourne Linton Oakes, son of J. T. Oakes, Sr., entered the Army Nov.
2, 1940; left for ETO April 2, 1942; fought at Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno,
Southern France and Rhineland; awarded five Bronze Stars and one Bronze
Arrowhead; served 28 months overseas; ranked as staff sergeant.

ODER, HARRY M.
Harry M. Oder, son of Mrs. A. L. Oder, entered the Army Nov. 25, 1940;
left for ETO April 2, 1943; fought at Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, France
and Europe; served 28 months overseas with 36th Division; awarded five
battle stars and Bronze Arrowhead; discharged July 30, 1945, as corporal.

ODOM, CARL EDWIN
Carl Edwin Odom, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Odom, was inducted into
the Army Nov. 20, 1944; trained at Camp Hood and Fort Meade, Md.; left
for ETO April 26, 1945; served eight months overseas; now stationed at
Camp Hood; holds rank of corporal.

OLINGER, CHAUNCEY C.
Chauncey C. Olinger, son of Mrs. Lee Warren, was inducted into the
Navy on Oct. 1, 1943; trained at San Diego, Calif.; left for the Pacific
on June 14, 1944; participated in liberation of the Philippines; now serving
with Navy at sea with rank of seaman second class.

OLINGER, THOMAS R.
Thomas R. Olinger, son of Mrs. Lee Warren, was inducted into the Army
Sept. 12, 1942; trained at San Diego, Calif.; left for Pacific Jan. 9,
1943; fought in Northern Solomons and Southern Philippines; served 34 months
overseas with Artillery unit; held rank of private first class.

Archie C. O誰eal, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. O誰eal, entered the Army
June 5, 1942; trained at Fort Francis F. Warren, Wyo., and Camp Stoneman,
Calif.; left for overseas May 3, 1943; fought in Rhineland; also saw action
in Pacific; served 31 months overseas; held rank of private first class.

H. V. O誰eal, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. O誰eal, was inducted into the
Army Air Forces May 3, 1941; trained at Moffett Field and Camp Stoneman,
Calif., left for ETO on March 5, 1943; fought in North Africa and Italy;
served 34 months overseas; was awarded three battle stars.

OWEN, ROBERT R.
Robert R. Owen, son of Mrs. Anna Wells, entered the Navy Aug. 26, 1942;
left for Pacific Dec. 26, 1943; fought at Saipan, Okinawa, Iwo Jima, Tinian
and other battles; served 17 months overseas with Task Force 58; served
aboard carrier Wasp; discharged Jan. 17, 1946, aviation ordnance first
class.
