Byron Jessie McAnally, son of W. J. McAnally, entered the Army Nov. 5, 1942; sent to ETO Dec. 5, 1943; fought in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe; spent 23 months overseas; discharged as sergeant on Dec. 2, 1945.

Raymond H. McAnally, son of W. J. McAnally, entered the Army July 7, 1942; sent to Pacific Dec. 31, 1943; fought in Philippines; was attached to 509th Ordnance Company; was discharged Jan. 6, 1946; killed in motorcycle accident May 5, 1946.
 
McBRIDE, EARLY S.
Early S. McBride, son of Belle McBride, entered the Army Nov. 3, 1942: sailed overseas June 21, 1944; fought in Normandy, Northern France and Central Europe; spent 11 months overseas; was awarded Purple Heart for wounds received in action; discharged on Oct. 1, 1945.
 
McCLATCHY, CHARLEY T., JR.
Charley T. McClatchy, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. McClatchy, Sr., entered the Army Sept. 8, 1944, trained at Camp Hood. Texas: sent to Pacific on April 5, 1945; fought on Luzon; attached to 25th Infantry Division; is staff sergeant; now in Japan.
 
McCLELLAN, DON
Don McClellan, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. McClellan, entered the Army Air Forces in 1939; received extensive training in States; left for ETO in January 1944; flew 50 missions over enemy-held territory in Europe; held rank of technical sergeant when discharged.
 
McCLELLAN, PAT
Pat McClellan, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. McClellan, entered the Army in 1942; trained in Texas, Florida, and Utah; left for overseas in February, 1944; flew bombing missions over enemy-held territory while stationed in England; spent 12 months overseas; is technical sergeant.
 
McCLELLAN, ROBERT E.
Robert E. McClellan, son of W. L. McClellan, entered the Army Nov. 1, 1940; sent to ETO April 2, 1943, for 11 months’ service; awarded Purple Heart; was attached to 142nd Infantry; held the rank of private first class when discharged on Sept. 16, 1944.
 
McCLESKEY, FRED ALLEN, JR.
Fred Allen McCleskey, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Allen McCleskey, Sr., entered Army Air Corps July 22, 1942; sent to Pacific Jan. 22, 1945; participated in air offensive over Japan, Eastern Mandates, Western Pacific; was staff sergeant when discharged on Nov. 22, 1945.

James Beaumont McCord, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. McCord, entered the Army Dec. 1, 1941; sent to Pacific Jan. 1, 1944 for 23 months’ service; fought in New Guinea and Philippines; received commendation for meritorious service; holds the rank of captain.
 
McCORKLE, ROBERT OWEN
Robert Owen McCorkle, son of Robert Ed McCorkle, entered the Army June 5, 1942; sent to Pacific in July 1943 for 23 months’ service; served in New Guinea, Solomons, Philippines; was attached to Eighth Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron; was sergeant; discharged.
 
McCRARY, WILLIE A.
Willie A. McCrary, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam McCrary, entered the Army April 27, 1943; sent to ETO July 27, 1944; fought in France and Germany; was German prisoner of war 82 days; served with 45th Division; awarded Bronze Star, Purple Heart; was staff sergeant; discharged.
 
McCREARY, JAKE
Jake McCreary, son of Mrs. D. W. Wise, entered the Army in 1943; trained at Camp Roberts, Calif., Camp Adair, Ore.; sent to ETO in March, 1944; spent 19 months overseas; awarded Purple Heart; was attached to Fifth Army; was staff sergeant; discharged Nov. 19, 1945.
 
McDONALD, FRANK BYRON
Frank Byron McDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. G. McDonald, entered the Army July 7, 1942; sailed for ETO Jan. 10, 1945; fought in Rhineland and Central Germany; was attached to 89th Infantry Division; held rank of staff sergeant when discharged Jan. 21, 1946.
 
McDONALD, QUENTIN N.
Quentin N. McDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. O. McDonald, was inducted into the Army Air Corps in September 1940; trained in California and Iowa; left for Europe in February, 1943; spent 32 months with Signal Corps unit; discharged as first sergeant Sept. 12, 1945.
 
McDONALD, RUDOLPH MANCE
Rudolph Mance McDonald, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. O. McDonald, was inducted into the Navy Seabees in August 1942; received training at Camp Allen, Va., and Camp Bradford, Norfolk, Va.; sailed for Pacific Feb. 8, 1943; spent 30 months overseas; discharged.
 
McDOWELL, ELDON V.
Eldon V. McDowell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. McDowell, entered the Army Nov. 9, 1942; sent to ETO Nov. 10, 1944; fought in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe: spent 14 months overseas; was attached to 106th Division Signal Corps; was sergeant; discharged.
 
McGAHEY, BILLY THOMAS
Billy Thomas McGahey, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McGahey, Sr., entered Navy June 28, 1942; sailed overseas in December 1942; spent 34 months overseas on USS Phoenix; participated in 32 Naval operations in Pacific; holds rank of motor machinist, third class.
 
McHORSE, H. B.
H. B. McHorse, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mc-Horse, was inducted into the Coast Guard August 1942; received training at New Orleans. La.; sailed overseas in May, 1945; served in ETO and Pacific; fought on Okinawa; spent 33 months overseas; is electrician’s mate, third class.
 
McKINNEY, CARROLL L.
Carroll L. McKinney. son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. McKinney, entered the Army June 25, 1943; sent to Pacific March 11, 1944 for 22 months’ service; fought on East Indies, Morotai, Luzon, and Philippines; was attached to 33rd Infantry Division; was discharged Jan. 18, 1946.
 
McKINNEY, WILTON H.
Wilton H. McKinney, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. McKinney, entered the Army Jan. 22, 1941; sent to Pacific Sept. 24, 1942; fought in New Guinea, Luzon, Philippines; spent 36 months overseas; served as sergeant with 36th Military Police Company; discharged.
 
McMINN, HERBERT WELTON
Herbert Welton McMinn, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. McMinn, entered the Navy Sept. 1, 1941; received extensive training in the United States; held the rank of ensign; lost on routine training flight over Lake Michigan; listed as missing, presumed dead.
 
McNUTT, EDGAR I.
Edgar I. McNutt, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. McNutt, entered the Army Air Corps Sept. 2, 1940; served in both ETO and CBI; spent 27 months overseas; fought in North Africa, Italy; awarded DFC, Presidential Citation; was staff sergeant; discharged Aug. 15, 1945.
 
McNUTT, JAY C.
Jay C. McNutt, son of W. H. McNutt, entered the Army Jan. 27, 1943; sent to ETO in August 1943; fought in Normandy, Central France, Belgian Bulge, Germany; spent 30 months overseas; was attached to 206th Combat Engineers Battalion; was staff sergeant; discharged.
 
McNUTT, WAYLAND CARL
Wayland Carl McNutt, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. McNutt, entered the Naval Air Corps Sept. 20, 1944; received training at Jacksonville, Fla., Memphis, Tenn., Purcell, Okla., Corpus Christi, San Diego, Calif. and Galveston; was aviation radioman second class when discharged:
 
McNUTT, WILLIAM HERBERT
William Herbert McNutt, son of W. H. McNutt, entered the Army Dec. 28, 1943; sent to ETO in January, 1945; fought in Central Europe; was attached to 517th Parachute Combat Team; held the rank of staff sergeant when discharged April 24, 1946.
 
McQUEEN, EARL E.
Earl E. McQueen, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McQueen, entered the Army March 12, 1941; sent to ETO April, 1943; attached to 753rd Tank Battalion; fought in Sicily, Salerno and Cassino where he was killed in action Jan. 6, 1944; awarded the Purple Heart posthumously.
 
McSWANE, E. O.
E. O. McSwane, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. N. McSwane, was inducted into the Navy March 28, 1943; trained at Camp Peary, Va.; was sent overseas July 9, 1943; spent 24 months in the South Pacific; held the rank of motor machinist, first class when discharged in October, 1945.
 
McWILLIAMS, J. P.
J. P. McWilliams entered the Navy June 24, 1942; trained at Camp Bradford, Va., Camp Elliott, Calif.; sailed to Pacific March 11, 1943; fought on. Bougainville and Guam; spent 28 months overseas; served as chief petty officer with 53rd Naval Construction Battalion; discharged.
