Clifford Wilson Hagar, son of J. D. Hagar; was inducted into the Army in 1943; received training at Fort Sill and Camp Gruber. Okla., and Camp Carson, Colo.; sailed for Europe Jan. 5, 1945; fought in Apennines and Po Valley; awarded Bronze Star.
 
HAMBRIC, ROBERT NOEL
Robert Noel Hambric, son of W. W. Hambric; was inducted into Army Air Corps Nov. 9, 1942; sent to CBI May 20, 1945; flew several missions over “The Hump;” awarded Air Medal, Meritorious Service Plaque and Chinese Medal; discharged as flight officer March 1946.
 
HAMILTON, HAROLD H.
Harold H. Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hamilton, was inducted into the Army in November, 1941; sailed overseas April 1, 1943; participated in four major battles in ETO; served with 36th Division; was awarded Bronze Star and Purple Heart; across 24 months; is technical sergeant.

James W. Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hamilton, was inducted into the Army Air Force In October 1944; received training at Keesler Field, Mississippi, and Kearns, Utah; holds the rank of private, first class.

Jesse D. Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hamilton, was inducted into the Army Oct. 20, 1942; sailed overseas Nov. 20, 1942; fought in battles of the Gilberts and Saipan: was attached to the Engineers; spent 30 months overseas; holds rank of corporal.

John H. Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hamilton, was inducted into the Army in December, 1942; trained at Camp Maxey and Fort Jackson, S. C.; was sent overseas in December, 1943; participated in four major battles in ETO during 21 months overseas; is sergeant.

Robert R. Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hamilton, was inducted into the Army in November, 1945; received his initial training at Fort Belvoir, Virginia: is now stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; serves with Medical Corps; holds the rank of corporal.
 
HAMON, LAMAR M.
Lamar M. Hamon, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Hamon, Jr., was inducted into the Marine Corps July 9, 1943; trained at Camp Elliott, Calif.; sailed for Pacific Dec. 23, 1943; fought on Saipan, Tinian and Okinawa with Second Division; spent 24 months overseas; discharged as corporal.

R. C. Hampton: Jr., son of R. C. Hampton, Sr., entered the Army Nov. 25, 1940; sent to ETO April 1, 1943; fought in Salerno; nine months overseas; was attached to 36th Infantry Division; held rank of technical sergeant; discharged Sept. 29, 1945.
 
HARLLEE, WALLACE S., JR.
Wallace S. Harllee, Jr., son of Mrs. Jewell Harllee, entered the Army July 22, 1942; trained at Camp Barkeley, Camp Rucker, Ala., Walter Reed Hospital, Wash., D. C., in La., Ky., Va.; attached to 304th Army Service Band and Transport Service Unit; was sergeant; discharged.
 
HARPER, CLIFTON G.
Clifton G. Harper, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Harper, entered the Army Jan. 26, 1944; trained at Fort Warren, Wyo., and Camp Barkeley; was sent overseas Oct. 17, 1944; awarded Purple Heart; was discharged Oct. 17, 1945; held rank of private, first class.
 
HARRELL, JAMES L.
James L. Harrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Harrell, entered the Navy Seabees Dec. 26, 1942; trained at numerous camps in the States before going overseas Aug. 6, 1943; served in the Aleutians with Eighth Special Battalion; discharged as storekeeper, first class, Dec. 6, 1945.

A. B. Harris, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Harris, Sr., entered the Navy May 27, 1943; trained in California; sailed overseas Sept. 18, 1943; participated in invasion of Bougainville; spent 21 months overseas; awarded Presidential Citation; discharged as boatswain’s mate, third class.

E. N. Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Harris, entered the Navy Aug. 30, 1943; sailed for Pacific April 10, 1944; fought on Saipan, Anguar, Leyte, Lingayen Gulf and Okinawa: served with an amphibious force; held rank of quartermaster, third class, when discharged.
 
HARRIS, ROBERT E.
Robert E. Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Harris, was inducted into the Army in November 1942; received training at Abedreen Proving Ground, Maryland, Fort Bliss, El Paso, and Boston, Mass.; held the rank of first lieutenant when discharged on March 15, 1946.
 
HATCHER, LEON FRANKLIN
Leon Franklin Hatcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Hatcher, entered the Army Air Corps in January, 1942; sent to ETO March, 1943; participated in air offensive over Europe with 12th Air Force; awarded DFC, Air Medal, five clusters; held rank of captain; discharged.

Ormonde Dale Hatcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Hatcher, entered the Army Air Corps July 30, 1941; sent to ETO in February, 1944; flew 30 combat missions with Eighth Air Forces; awarded DFC with cluster, Air Medal with three clusters, Purple Heart, Bronze Star; held rank of major; discharged.

Ralston P. Haun, Jr., entered the Marine Corps in May, 1945; trained at Parris Island, S. C., Camp Le Jeune, N. C., Bainbridge, Md.; sailed overseas April, 1946; served in Caribbean; attached to First Special Marine Brigade; discharged in August 1946.
 
HAWTHORNE, BYRON, JR.
Bryon Hawthorne, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Hawthorne, Sr., entered the Army Air Force on May 5, 1942; left for ETO Feb. 27, 1944; fought in Northern France, Normandy, Southern France, Apennines, Po Valley, Balkans, Rhineland; spent 18 months overseas; is master sergeant.
 
HAYNES, WAYNE GALEN
Wayne Galen Haynes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haynes, entered the Army July 9, 1943; sent to ETO in January. 1944; fought in Ardennes, Germany, Rhineland; awarded Silver Star, Purple Heart, Soldier’s Medal; was attached to 78th Infantry Division; technical sergeant; discharged.
 
HAYS, WESLEY MYRON
Wesley Myron Hays, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Hays, entered the Naval Air Corps in 1942; was sent to Pacific where he served as Naval pilot, based on the carrier, Intrepid; attached to “Fighting Squadron 10;” awarded the Navy Cross; now stationed in Florida; is lieutenant (jg).
 
HECTOR, GARVEL TROY
Garvel Troy Hector, son of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Hector, volunteered for Army Air Corps Aug. 31, 1942; left for overseas Dec. 15, 1944; served in Atlantic and Pacific; was navigator on B-24; flew 39 combat missions over Jap-held territory; discharged as lieutenant Dec. 16, 1945.
 
HENNING, BILLY VERNON
Billy Vernon Henning, son of E. H. Henning; was inducted into the Army July 18, 1945; trained at Fort Bliss; was sent overseas in January, 1946; is now stationed in the Panama Canal Zone with an Anti-aircraft Artillery unit; holds the rank of technician, fifth grade.
 
HENNING, EDWIN H., JR.
Edwin H. Henning, Jr., son of E. H. Henning, Sr.; entered the Army Feb. 28, 1942; sailed for CBI sector April 16, 1945; was attached to the 48th Evacuation Hospital; participated in Central Burma campaign; held the rank of sergeant when discharged Feb. 12, 1946.
 
HERRIN, ELMER LEE
Elmer Lee Herrin, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Herrin, entered the Army March 16, 1944; sailed for Pacific Jan. 26. 1945; fought on Southern Philippines, Mindanao, Mintol, Davao, Mandog and other campaigns with 24th Division; discharged in January, 1946.

W. A. Herring, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Herring; entered the Army July, 1942; sailed for ETO Feb. 1, 1945; participated in major European campaigns; awarded Silver Star, Purple Heart, Infantry Badge; spent six months overseas; discharged as sergeant.
 
HERRIOTT, AUDIE HERMAN
Audie Herman Herriott, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Herriott; entered the Navy June 2, 1944; trained at San Diego, Calif., and St. Louis, Mo.; was sent overseas Feb. 20, 1943; spent 8 1/2 months in the Pacific; discharged as electrician’s mate, third class.

E. B. Hines, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hines; was inducted into the Army April 8, 1946: received training at Fort Sam Houston, Camp Robinson, Ark., and Fort Benning, Ga.; was attached to the Paratroopers; is now stationed at Fort Benning Ga.; holds rank of private.
 
HIPSHER, REX BUEL
Rex Buel Hipsher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gay B. Hipsher; entered the Navy May 15, 1944; sailed overseas Nov. 11, 1944; served in both Atlantic and Pacific; fought at Iwo Jima, Okinawa, raids on Tokyo, with Third and Fifth Fleets; discharged May 21, 1946; was seaman, first class.
 
HODGES, JOE ANDY
Joe Andy Hodges, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hodges: entered the Army Air Corps Oct. 16, 1942; trained at San Angelo, Childress, Spokane, Wash., Kearns, Salt Lake City. Utah, in Calif.; sent to Pacific Nov. 24, 1945 for two months; discharged Feb. 14, 1946.
 
HODGES, THEODORE A.
Theodore A. Hodges, son of J. P. Hodges. Sr., entered the Navy May 8, 1940; trained at San Diego, Calif.; served in both ETO and Pacific; overseas 50 months; served aboard USS Warrington, USS Relief; held rank of ship fitter, first class; discharged in May, 1946.

Walter L. Hodges, son of J. P. Hodges, Sr.; entered Army Jan. 22, 1941; sent to ETO April 1, 1943; fought in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, France, Rhineland, Central Europe; overseas 28 months; attached to 36th Division; was sergeant; discharged.

William V. Hodges, son of J. P. Hodges, Sr., entered Navy Aug. 14, 1944; trained at San Diego, Shoemaker, and San Francisco, Calif.; sent to Pacific Feb. 8, 1945; overseas 13 months; served with Naval Supply Depot: was seaman, first class; discharged April, 1946.
 
HOLDER, CALVIN COOLIDGE
Calvin Coolidge Holder, son of Mrs. Pearl Holder; entered the Army Jan. 27, 1943; sailed for ETO Oct. 8, 1943; fought at Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe with 90th Division; discharged Nov. 3, 1945; re-enlisted; now in the Pacific sector.
 
HOLDER, CECIL R.
Cecil R. Holder, son of Luther A. Holder; entered Army Air Force Feb. 28, 1942; sailed for Pacific March 28, 1943; fought on Solomons, New Guinea, Bismarck, Philippines, East Indies, Central Pacific; holds rank of captain; now stationed at Scott Field, Ill.

William Holder, Jr., son of Mrs. Pearl Holder; was Inducted into the Army in November, 1942; received training at Camp Wallace; was sent overseas in February, 1944; spent 20 months in the European sector; participated in five major battles.
 
HOLLINGSWORTH, JOHN D.
John D. Hollingsworth, son of J. L. Hollingsworth; was inducted into the Army Air Corps in October, 1942; trained at Gowen Field, Idaho; was sent overseas July 20, 1944; served in the South Pacific sector; he1d rank of sergeant when killed in action; awarded Purple Heart posthumously.

James Holt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Holt; was inducted into the Navy Sept. 15, 1945; received training at San Diego, Calif.; sailed overseas January 1946; is now serving in the Pacific aboard USS Bremerton; holds rank of fireman, first class.
 
HOPPER, JAMES
James Hopper, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Hopper; was inducted into the Army Air Corps Feb. 12, 1942; received training at Camp Robinson, Ark., and Marfa, Texas; served as an airplane mechanic; was honorably discharged as private, first class in December 1945.

J. D. Hopper, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Hopper: was inducted into the Army Air Corps Jan. 28, 1942; received training at Goodfellow Field, San Angelo, Garden City, Kan., and Denver, Colo.; discharged as private, first class October 24, 1945.
 
HORTON, DORMAN D.
Dorman D. Horton, of Abilene, was inducted into the Army Air Force in December 1942; received training at Miami, Fla., and Lincoln, Neb.; sent overseas in April, 1943; participated in air raids over Japan: spent 12 months in the Pacific; discharged in December 1945.
 
HORTON, LEONARD D.
Leonard D. Horton of Clovis, N. M.; was inducted into the Navy in December, 1941; trained at New Orleans, La., and Washington, D. C.; served in Europe and South America; spent 38 months overseas; was gunnery mate, instructor, when discharged in May 1945.
 
HOWARD, JAMES ARNOLD
James Arnold Howard, son of Mrs. Mary E. Sharp, entered the Navy July 2, 1940; trained at San Diego, Calif., Norfolk, Va.; sent to Pacific Dec. 2, 1941; participated in seven major battles; overseas 40 months; holds rank of first class petty officer.
 
HOWELL, WRIGHT
Wright Howell, son of Mrs. Roy W. Howell, was inducted into the Navy on July 1, 1943: left for overseas in December, 1945; served in the Pacific aboard the USS Custer; held the rank of ensign when honorably discharged from service on May 16, 1946.
 
HUBBARD, BILLY GENE
Billy Gene Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hubbard, entered the Army Dec. 5, 1945; trained at Fort Sam Houston, Fort Lewis, Wash., and Camp Beale, Calif.; sailed overseas April 15, 1946; is now stationed in Germany as a member of the army of occupation.
 
HUBBARD, CLIFFORD VERNON
Clifford Vernon Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hubbard, entered the Army Nov. 19, 1940; sailed for the ETO April 26, 1944; served with 363rd Infantry; was killed in action in Northern Italy on Sept. 18, 1944; was awarded Purple Heart posthumously; was staff sergeant when killed.
 
HUBBARD, DONALD WESLEY
Donald Wesley Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Hubbard, entered the Army Air Corps Dec. 7, 1942; sailed for the ETO Feb. 27, 1943; fought in battles of the Rhineland and Central Europe; spent 22 months overseas; held the rank of corporal when discharged in January 1946.
 
HUBBARD, DOYLE T.
Doyle T. Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hubbard, was inducted into the Army Air Forces on Oct. 27, 1944; trained at Camp Wolters and Fort Sam Houston; was sent overseas in January, 1946; is now stationed in Bermuda; holds the rank of private first class.

Harold R. Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hubbard, was inducted into the Army Air Forces on Nov. 28, 1942; trained at Chanute Field, Ill., and Salt Lake City, Utah; sailed overseas in May 1944; served as B-29 mechanic in India; discharged in January 1946.

Cling D. Hudson, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Hudson, Sr., entered the Navy Jan. 27, 1944; trained at San Diego, Calif.; sailed to Pacific April 5, 1944; fought on Saipan; overseas 23 months; held the rank of third class petty officer when discharged in March 1946.
 
HUDSON, HENRY ROY
Henry Roy Hudson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hudson, entered the Army Feb. 14, 1941; sailed for Pacific March 30, 1941; fought on Bataan and Corregidor; captured by Japanese; POW from May 6, 1942, to Aug. 30, 1942; awarded Purple Heart and Silver Star; discharged April 19, 1946.
 
HUDSON, JACK KENNETH
Jack Kenneth Hudson, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hudson, was inducted into the Army Air Corps on March 3, 1944: trained at Fort Sam Houston, Sheppard Field, Buckley Field, Colo., LeMoore Field, Calif., and Walla Walla, Wash.; now stationed at Kearns, Utah; is sergeant.
 
HUGGINS, LEE RAY
Lee Ray Huggins, son of T. L. Huggins, entered the Army Air Forces in December, 1941; received his training in California; was sent overseas in September, 1942; spent 34 months in the ETO; awarded 11 battle stars, four oak leaf clusters: holds the rank of sergeant.
 
HUGHEN, SAMUEL O.
Samuel O. Hughen, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hughen, entered the Army May 14, 1942; sailed overseas Nov. 24, 1942; spent 30 months in the ETO while attached to 67th General Hospital; discharged June 8, 1945; served with 90th Division in World War I.
 
HUNTER, JAMES F.
James F. Hunter, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hunter, entered the Navy April 18, 1944; received his training at San Diego, Calif.; sailed to Pacific on June 15, 1944; served at Pearl Harbor; overseas 22 months; honorably discharged from service in May, 1946.
