Coleman, Texas
September 14, 2007 - Played at Coleman Coleman 59, Rotan 14
Bluecats Rout
Rotan
If there was ever total domination of an opponent,
it was Friday night as Coleman made quick work of the young Rotan Yellowhammers
59-14. The Bluecats concluded the non-district schedule with a perfect 3-0
record having scored a total of 153 points in three games. The Cats are idle
this week.
The Bluecats couldn't do anything wrong in the first quarter while Rotan couldn't do anything right. Before anyone could stop and take a breath, Coleman led 31-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Bluecats tacked on another 21 in the second quarter and another 7 in the third quarter. The scoring included a 37 yard field goal by Oscar Villeda. Top rushers for the Bluecats were Colton Buzzard who carried the ball 5 times for 137 yards, Caleb Walker 10 carries for 60 yards and Bronson Buzzard 4 carries for 31 yards. Brandon Worsham also caught a 24 yard touchdown pass from Colton Buzzard. Andrew Isom and Caleb Walker also found the end zone. The two Rotan scores came when a blocked Coleman field goal attempt was picked up by Dexter Daniel and returned for a TD. Late in the game, Rotan scored again when a snap from the center bounced off the quarterback's shoulder and into the hands of Daniel who ran for a 53 yard score.
