Coleman, Texas
Coleman 25, Early 48 Q.
"Coleman had one shot to make the playoffs beat Early and we're in, lose and we're out, right? That was all under the assumption that Ballinger would beat Jim Ned and Bangs would beat San Saba, as they should. But, just when it looked like our chances were over, as Early was taking advantage of our turnovers and claiming a district championship, Ballinger got beat by Jim Ned. Yes, you read that right, Ballinger lost and that has allowed Coleman to squeak in! Our loss combined with Ballinger's loss last night tied us for 2nd place with Bangs, but because of the head to head win over us, Bangs claims the 2nd place spot while the Bluecats get in at 3rd. Hey, we aren't proud, we'll take it! The Bluecats will be playing Anson next week, time and place not yet determined. Never under estimate the Bluecats....they find a way!! Let's do a replay of last year and bring home another Bi-District Championship!!" (colemannews.com)
