Steven A. Castillo II, died Sunday, May 6, 2001 at his residence in Stephenville.  Services are pending at St. John's Catholic Church in Hondo, Texas under direction of Dawson Funeral Home.

Steven was born June 29, 1979 in Hondo.  He lived in Hondo until 1995 when he moved to Coleman residing with Andy and Mary Ellen Mares.  He graduated from Coleman High School in 1997.  He attended Angelo State University, worked at Holiday Hill for two years then moved to Stephenville in the summer of 2000.  He was employed by Appleton Electric at the time of his death.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include his father, Cipriano Castillo; his mother, Janie Mares; three sisters, Clair Castillo, Clovia Bosworth and Valerie Valle; grandmothers, Juanita Castillo and Maria Ignacia Mares; three cousins, Doug Salas, Natalie Mares and A. J. Mares of Coleman; one nephew, Sedric Castillo.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p. m. Sunday, May 13th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coleman.  Flowers can be sent to 709 West 7th Street in Coleman.
