Dana Giacalone - 2005

"Dr. Dana Giacalone, daughter of Lynn and Vicki Cardinas, has completed her residency and joined a group practice in Grapevine, Texas. Dr. Giacalone is a graduate of Coleman High School and her grandparents are Doris and Laneal Maedgen of Valera and Billie and the late Victor Cardinas of Glen Cove. She is married to Mario Giacalone. She attended Texas Tech University and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas. She graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in May 2002 where she earned the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. She promptly returned back to Texas for her residency training. She completed her internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she had extensive training in internal medicine and diabetic wound care and limb salvage. She then headed to Houston where she completed her residency training at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Program where she focused on forefoot, rearfoot and ankle reconstructive surgery. Dr. Giacalone joined Foot and Ankle Associates of North Texas, LLP in June of 2005. Foot and Ankle Associates of North Texas is formed of a group of specialists to be the best source of foot and ankle care in North Texas.  Individually, each physician at FAANT, LLP specializes in different aspects of foot and ankle care such as sports injuries, reconstructive surgery, trauma, diabetes-related problems and childhood foot problems. FAANT, LLP has offices located in Grapevine, Lewisville and Denton. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
