"I attended Abilene Christian University until 1986, then moved to the Dallas/Ft.Worth Metroplex.  I married Lawrence R. Swink from Arlington, Texas in 1992, and worked at Cigna Insurance Company in Las Colinas in the Facilities Management Department until we began our family in 1996.  My husband works for the City of Arlington in Traffic OPS-Purchasing.  I am a stay at home Mom now, as we have a wonderful 4 year old little boy, Elliott, and one on the way, due October 22, 2000.  We are active in our church, and love to come to Coleman to visit my parents.  My sister, Dee Ann Duke Ward, also a Coleman alumni, lives in Aledo,Texas with her husband and 6 year old daughter, Daphne."   (2000.)

"Hello Friends and Family ... Gretchen Elise Swink, born 10-21-2000, 1:15 pm, 6 pounds even, 18 3/4 in. long, has a mass of dark hair and is doing great.  We just got home from hospital Monday afternoon late, and are trying to get adjusted.  Elliott is truly exicted about his new baby sister, however, we are sad because he came down with a respiratory infection the day I delivered, (kinda "croupish"), and the pediatrician recommended he stay at Grandmas for 2 weeks!  We balked at that idea, and are going to see if he can come home at least by Thursday.  They gave him some surgical masks to wear, so we'll see how that goes.  Lawrence goes to see him every day, leaving me at home with Gretchen ... but really, I am enjoying the peace and quiet as it helps me to kinda get my bearings again ... We have GOT to get an answering machine, and I will try to call people back as I can."   (October 2000.)
