About Evonne ..... "I was born in Coleman and left with my family in 1965 to move to Southern California. My mom had a beauty shop in Coleman and I have many fond memories of people and a nice easy life growing up. I grew up on the beaches in southern California but moved to northern California in my early 20's. I went to college here and got my BA degree in Environmental Studies and Planning. I had a very interesting career: worked for the Navy as a Biologist, worked for the DOD studying wild horses and many other interesting projects, Environmental Planner for Native American tribes, Tribal Environmental Consultant, and grant writing, with lots of computer and data support through the years. I have 2 great children, a son Geoff, 28 (a father of soon to be 2 children) and a daughter Jamaica, 29 (a stepmom to a brilliant 7 year old boy). They live close by. I traveled for quite a few years before coming to northern California in the mid 1970's. I am married to the world's best husband of 9 years. We are pretty much retired and plan on traveling full time soon, very soon I hope. We live in the lush country in northern California and travel as much as we can. I would love to hear from any of my old childhood friends like Bill Burke, Becky Hollingsworth ... " (February 2007.) |
