According to the CHS Corral yearbooks, Gary was with the Class of 1966 in his Freshman year, but repeated that year, being with the Class of 1967 as a Freshman and a Sophomore. He dropped out of school after that time.
Gary Crosby, 54 Gary Crosby, age 54, of Coleman died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Hendrick Medical Center, Abilene. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Jenkins, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery, under the direction of Walker Funeral Home. He was born September 24, 1946 in Brownwood, Texas, a son of Wayne Crosby and Juanita Maye Mills Crosby. On September 23, 1973, he married Mary Love Anderson in Coleman. He had been a resident of Coleman most of his life and graduated from Coleman High School. He worked for Burns Security Systems for many years and was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. Mr. Crosby was also a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Love Crosby of Coleman; a daughter, Torrie Crosby of Coleman; one grandson, Damien Crosby of Coleman; and one brother, Moreland Crosby of Cedar Hills, Texas. Pallbearers will be Leslie Dobbins Jr., Henry Dodson, Mac Anderson, Roy Joe Harvey, Norman Anderson and Stanley Anderson. (Coleman Chronicle and Democrat-Voice, Coleman, Texas, February 27, 2001.) |
