After many palnning sessions, the CHS Class Of 1962 reunion came to fruition October 18 and 19, 2002.  Friday night, October 18 classmates met at Hufford Field for the football game then gathered afterward at First Coleman National Bank Hospitality Room for visitation and snacks.

Saturday morning at 10:00 a. m. visitation was again held in the Coleman Junior High cafeteria before a noon barbeque meal was served to 63 persons.  Mr. Hurschel Dunn was special guest.  After the meal, all congregated on the steps of the old CHS building of a photo.  Forty-three classmates attended.  Photo completed, former students returned to the Hospitality Room for business meeting and snacks.  Don Hipsher led meeting and thanked all who helped plan the reunion.  Those helping were Ted and Jane Ehrler, Wanda Dieterich, Viola Walker, Ronnie and Lana Kading, Ed Van Dalsem, Chrystal Jennings and Glen and Charlotte Gardner.  Volunteers were Blaine and Nelda Lee and Edward and Lynette Feeler.

Beverly Gee read list of deceased members of the class then read a poem, “My Dash” to honor them.  Don led discussions regarding future reunions and it was decided to have another in five years, 2007.  Memory books were discussed.  At 5:00 p. m. a silent auction ended with Don awarding all items donated to highest bidders.

After more visiting, many had long, drives ahead and they left for home.  Sunday morning those who wanted met at Hidalgo’s for an 8 a. m. breakfast.  All attending enjoyed a fun weekend seeing members who had not come for any reunions.  They left saying, “See ya in 2007!”
