"Joan Gardner married Roger Kerbow (CHS Class of 1957).  Following his release from active duty in the US Army in 1964, they made their home in Grand Prairie, where he established practice as a CPA and they raised their three children. Joan was a well-loved and respected member of the community, taking active roles in school, church, and civic organizations, as well as enjoying being a consummate homemaker and grandmother. Following a three-week coma induced by Acute Disseminated Demyelinating Encephalomyelitis, her family released her into eternity on February 29, 2000."  (submitted by Rae Ann Kerbow Forester, April 2004.)
