Nancy Beard, age 64, of Lubbock Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at her home.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday July 11, 2003 at Lake Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. John Burk, pastor officiating.  Private burial is under direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

Nancy was born October 13, 1938 in Coleman Texas.  She married Don Beard on December 4, 1987 in Post.  She was the founder of Mother-2-be in Lubbock.  She attended Texas Tech, and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Women Entrepreneurs of Lubbock and Lakeridge United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Macy.  Survivors include: husband, Don Beard of Lubbock, one son Michael Macy of Post, one daughter Sharla Duncan of Lubbock, one stepson James Brent Beard of Plano and seven grandchildren.  Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or Lakeridge United Methodist Church.
