Carl D. White, age 68, of Coleman, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Coleman County Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion.  Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.

Carl was born July 14, 1938 in May, Texas, a son of the late Clarence D. White and Pearl Jones White.  He grew up and attended school in Coleman.  On August 8, 1957 he married Goldie Wilkins in Coleman.  Carl worked at Martin Brick Plant for 20 years and retired after 25 years from Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT).  He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie White of Coleman; one son, Wayne White of Coleman; one daughter, Carlene Wiley and husband Buddy of Brady; three brothers, Junior White and wife Wilma of Coleman, Roger White and wife Sue of Kerrville, Otho White of Lafayette, Louisiana; one sister, Wanda Steffey and husband Jerry of Coleman; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Steffey and husband Eddie of Lake Coleman, Jimmie Posey and husband James of Coleman, Becky Jean Matthews and husband Billy of Lake Coleman; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, J. C. White and Jerry Don White; and his parents.
