"After graduating from A&M, attending Rice University, and serving in the Navy on the USS Coral Sea, I taught World History and served as the Educational Media Coordinator for the Austin Independent School District. I am retired from AISD but work part time as a computer consultant. I am married to Shirley Hall Zirkle and we have three children, Brent, Stephanie and Jason. Brent has our three granddaughters, Emma, Olivia and Sarah. We also have a second home on the Pedernales Neck of Lake Travis." (October 2006.) |
