Max Wheeler Watters, 61 Max Wheeler Watters, age 61, of Odessa died October 22, 1997 at Medical Center Hospital of Odessa. Services were held October 24th at 2:00 p. m. in the First Baptist Churchof Odessa with Dr. Ernest Easley officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens and all arrangements were directed by Odessa Funeral Home. Mr. Watters was born August 1, 1936 in Coleman and was married to Nola Kay Watters. He was a detective sergeant of the warrant section for the City of Odessa and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors are his wife of Odessa; two sons, Jimmy and Kimmy Watters, both of Odessa; his mother, Bea Watters of Midland; a sister, Carol Lee Ballard of Midland; a brother, Jackie Watters of Midland; 3 grandchildren, Steven, Magan and Brooke Watters.
