"Went to A&M on a basketball scholarship (left with a ring and a lot of hours, but no degree.  United States Army (Alaska, mostly).  Graduated from UT Austin ('58).  Most of my professional life (and the last 30 years) was spent in education at several levels ... the last 18 in the Highland Park ISD.  Since retirement in 1990, I have earned a degree from Perkins School of Theology at SMU, stayed busy in Rotary, church lay positions, music entertainment, an interest in drug policy reform."   (2004.)
