T.  E. "Tommy" Jamison, Jr., 75

Mr. T. E. "Tommy" Jamison, Jr., age 75 of Coleman, passed away February 1, 2006 at his residence.  Funeral services will be Saturday February 4th at 10 a.m. at the Walker Funeral Chapel with Dr. Jeff Miller and Rev. Kermit Sorrells officiating.  Masonic Graveside Rites will be held at the Coleman City Cemetery and burial will follow under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman.  Members of the Coleman Masonic Lodge #496 will serve as pallbearers, and members of the Downtown Men’s Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.  There will be Military Honors.

Son of the late T. E., Sr. and Clarence Dodd Jamison, he was born September 21, 1930 in Coleman.  He graduated from Coleman High School and Texas Tech University, and went on to receive his law degree from Baylor University.  Tommy was an attorney, rancher, school teacher and oilman.  He was a 50+ year member and Past Master of the Coleman Masonic Lodge #496, member and teacher of the Downtown Men’s Sunday School Class.  He attended St. Mark’s Episcopal and First United Methodist Churches.  A lifetime resident of Coleman, Tommy was an avid supporter of the Coleman Bluecats.  He also served his country in the U. S. Air Force where he was a retired major of the 504th.

Survivors include; one daughter, Dru Ann Thompson of Greenville; one son Mark Jamison of Grapevine; one sister, Patsy and husband J. P. "Bub" Miller, Jr. of Coleman, and one grandson Christopher Thompson of Greenville.  Also surviving are two nephews, Tom and John Miller.

The family will receive friends Friday February 3rd from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be sent to the West Texas Boy’s Ranch or the First United Methodist Church of Coleman.
