About Me: In high school, I was in the
band. After graduation, I attended T.C.U. from June 7, 1948 to May
29, 1950. October 21, 1950. I married Rex (Rusty) Jones. He
graduated from Coleman High School May 1947 and was a Barber in Coleman.
We lived in Coleman, and he worked for Blanton and Moore Barber Shop for
three years, then purchased the Coleman Hotel Barber Shop, and worked there
until 1964, when the Coleman Hotel closed. He then built a shop at
the end of Commercial Avenue and worked there until he died May 8, 1998.
We had three daughters. Peggy Ann, born December 16, 1951. She graduated
from Coleman High in 1970. On August 16, 1970, she married Ricky
Lee Densman. They have 2 children: Amy - born April 30, 1975 and
Ryan - born November 21, 1978. They live in Abilene, Texas.
Our second daughter, Nancy Lou, was born September 5, 1954. She graduated
from Coleman High in May 1973. She married Bob Brockman from Sonora,
Texas, August 14, 1976. They have 2 children: Ashley, born July 27,
1981 and Landon, born in 1984. They live on a ranch in Sonora, and
Nancy teaches in the Sonora School system. Our third daughter, Mary Jo,
was born August 6, 1970. She graduated from Coleman High in May 1988.
She married Sam Turner, from Voss, Texas on December 31, 1989, and they
have one daughter, Samantha, born December 22, 1998. They live in
Denton. Mary Jo taught First Grade in Aubry, Texas until Samantha
was born. Rex passed away on May 8, 1997, after a long illness.
I am now (1999) working part time for a feed company, playing the organ
for the First Presbyterian Church (which I have been doing since 1965)
and enjoying my family.
