Something About Maudine  .....

"I retired from a position as music specialist for the Fort Worth Independent School District after having taught music for twenty-three years.  I am now researching families for my genealogical lines, and am in touch with distant cousins around the world.  I enjoy reading and am currently reading the Texas classic "Train to Estelline," by Jane Woods.  (2001.)

"In the Summer of 1947 I moved to Fort Worth and began to work for the City Tax Department then the City Legal Department until I married Clarence Aubrey (Bob) Sellers.  When he died in 1970 Bob was Editor of the Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper.  Bob and I had four children, Rev. Dr. Steven who lives in Marshall, Texas and is an Episcopal priest; Jeffrey, a musician; Paul, a high school history teacher in Fort Worth; and Carole Sellers Kimbrough, an elementary school teacher in Fort Worth.  After Bob died I obtained my degree from Texas Wesleyan College (now university) and then taught music in the Fort Worth Public Schools until I retired in 1996.  I have one granddaughter.  On June 20, 1987 I married Donald Patrick Goodman, CHS Class of 1947.  I am active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Daughters of the War of 1812 and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.  My hobbies are genealogy, travel, playing the piano and harp, reading and gardening.  I have traveled to Scotland, France, England, Wales, Jamaica, Acapulco, Hawaii, Saint Marten, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Russia, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Denmatk, Canada, and Newfoundland."  (2002.)
