E. Leo Green, age 77 of Millsap, former long-time resident of Irving, died Friday, August 5, 2005 at his home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Oak Haven United Methodist Church, 1600 N. Irving Heights. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday. Born May 22, 1928 in Coleman, Texas to E. Dewey Green and Ola C. Hefner Green, he graduated from Coleman High School. He joined the United States Army National Guard and was a Master Sergeant in the 36th Division 1946 - 1957. He was an accountant for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company from 1951 until retiring in 1992. He lived in Irving from 1958 until 2004. He married Marjorie Quinn May 31, 1975 in Irving. She preceded him in death, January 13, 1995. He was very active with the Oak Haven United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer with Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Survivors include his children, David, and wife, Penny Green of Dumas, daughter, Carol and husband, Paul Schellhase of Millsap, daughter, Kathy Tidmore of Abilene, daughter, Sabra and husband Stephen Hawkings of Mansfield, son Eric and wife, Kelly Neilson of Plano, and son, Marc Neilson of Washington, DC; brother, Charles W. Green of Midland; eleven grandchildren, Crystal Green Griffin, Chris Green, Frank Green, Jason Green, Kim Green, Brandon Tidmore, Kason Tidmore, Ruston Tidmore, Taylor Hawkings, Ryan Hawkings, and Cody Hawkings; and one great granddaughter, Hannah Green.
