J. A. Bozeman of Coleman, died Thursday (December 6, 2001) at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Saturday in the Elm Street Church of Christ with Joe Hailey officiating and assisted by Fred Bozeman. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. 

Mr. Bozeman was born January 13, 1922 in Shields, Texas and was a son of the late John Aaron and Lillie Mae Loyd Bozeman. He grew up in Coleman and attended school here. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II and received the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters. On September 20, 1945 he married Rena Vivian Jewell in Coleman. He owned and operated Bozeman Plumbing in Coleman for over 37 years. He was a long-time member and deacon of Elm Street Church of Christ. 

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Bozeman of Coleman; two daughters, Ellen Joyce Poisall (and husband Charles) of North Richland Hills, Texas and Melissa Joy Bagley (and husband Terry) of Brownwood, Texas; one son, Fred Bozeman (and wife Carol) of Rye, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Alisa Henderson (and husband J. J.) of Creedmoor, N.C., Rebecca Day (and husband Carson) of Bedford, Texas, Christopher Bozeman (and wife Teri) of Rye, Colorado, Michael Bozeman of Tyler, Texas, Tiffany, Sherry, Jeffery Bagley all of Brownwood, Michael and Gary Bagley both of Coleman; nine great-grandchildren, Emily Faith Henderson, Abigail Jordan Herderson, Bonnie Bozeman, Benjimen Bozeman, Kaitlyn Bagley, McKenzie Bagley, Caleb Bagley, Gary Bagley, Jr., Bryan Lee Bagley; two sisters, Ruby Arms of Coleman and Willie B. Medcalf of Bloomfield, New Mexico; one brother, Louie M. Bozeman of Branson, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.
