Beulah Gordon, age 88, of Coleman died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Avalon Alzheimer¹s Unit in Irving. Graveside services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. John Stanislaw officiating. Services were under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. She was born Beulah Laverne Ewing on March 3, 1918 in Coleman County, the daughter of Charlie M. Ewing and Clara Moore Ewing. She grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1935. She married C. W. Jolly in June 1937. He preceded her in death in March, 1976. She later married Charlie Gordon in August, 1986. He also preceded her in death in August 1998. Beulah lived in various cities between 1941 and 1985, when she returned to Coleman. She moved to Irving several years ago, to be closer to her family. She was a housewife and member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Bratton of Irving; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Ewing of Irving; two grandchildren, James Bratton, Jr. of Fort Worth, Rebecca Minyard of Keller; one great-grandchild, Rachel Minyard of Keller; one niece, Deborah Holland of Columbia, South Carolina and two nephews, Dr. Rodney Ewing of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Gary Ewing of De Soto.
