Ila Drake, age 93 of Santa Anna passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 7:20 p.m. at the Bangs Nursing Home.  Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Hess and Rev. Raymond Jones officiating.  Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

Ila was born February 4, 1913 in Choudrant, Louisiana to the late Robert Delmar and Eula Pearl Norris Robinson.  She was raised in Coleman graduating from Coleman High School in 1932.  On April 26, 1934 Ila married Elzie B. (Buck) Drake in Coleman and they celebrated fifty-four years of marriage.  Buck preceded her in death in 1980.  Ila was a resident of Santa Anna where she was a member of the First Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include four daughters, Delma Blair of Santa Anna, Texas; Maureen Watson of Santa Anna, Texas; Sherry Burleson of of Clyde, Texas; and Patsy Barron of Santa Anna, Texas; three sons, Melton Drake of Odessa, Texas; David Drake of Brownwood, Texas; Robbie Drake of Brazoria, Texas; a nephew, Scott Robinson of Louisville, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.

Ila was preceded in death by her brother Johnny Robinson.
