Grace Gaines, a former long-time Coleman resident, died Monday, March 26, 2001 in a Dallas hospital.  Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, March 29th, at Coleman Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Gary Boyd of Brownwood officiating.  Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p. m. until service time Thursday at Walker Funeral Home.

She was born in 1912 in Coleman and married Dennis Gaines in 1934 in Coleman.  He preceded her in death in 1996.  Grace lived most of her life in Coleman before moving to Dallas in 1997.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coleman.

Survivors include one son, Max Gaines and wife Nancy of Valley Ranch; grandchildren, Gina Bennett of Mesquite, Misty Krawsetski of Valley Ranch and Mat Gaines of Coleman; two great-grandchildren.
