Sterling City High School Graduates of 1928 Held a Reunion in Robert Lee

	Fourteen members of a class of 23 who graduated from Sterling City
high school in 1928 held a reunion Thursday at the air conditioned County
Park community building in Robert Lee.

	Mrs. JEFF DEAN, a memeber of the class was in charge of
arrangements.

	Rev. ROSS WELCH, former Robert Lee Methodist minister, was master
of ceremonies during a program which followed a picnic dinner. Rev. Welch
keeps in touch with each member of the class and read letters from those
who were not present. A round robin letter is circulated periodically
among the group.

	Mrs. Dean was president of the graduating class. All are still
living except one, MARY STONE.

	JAMES RUSHING made the trip by air from Virginia to attend the
event. He is a retired Air Force warrant officer. Coming from New York
City was Mrs. WADE BECKER, who was a teacher in New York City before
her marriage.

	AUDREY PEAS of San Francisco, son of Mr. and Mrs. TOM PEAYS of
Robert Lee, was one of the 1928 Sterling City graduates.

	The group voted to hold its next reunion in 1964 in August
at a point in the Sterling City area.
