C. CUNNINGHAM, who is hospitalized there. JAMES PHILLIPS was admitted to Bronte hospital Saturday and was scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday morning. Mrs. JOE RENFRO and children of Uvalde are here visiting in the Phillips home. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. BARNEY GRIFFIN have been Mr. and Mrs. V. V. NORWOOD of Deming, N. M. The Griffins visited Mr. and Mrs. GARY DAVIS Sunday in Big Lake and Mr. and Mrs. DUB GRIFFIN Monday in San Angelo. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. GROFF of Grape Creek visited Sunday in the CLAUDE DITMORE home. ************************************************************************ Mrs. T. C. HIGGINBOTHAM was hostess to the Women's Progressive Club on Feb. 13. Roll call was answered with each member displaying an old valentine. Mrs. GENIE FORT spoke on "The Story of Valentine" and "Folklore of Love" was given by Mrs. R. E. CUMBIE. Mrs. JOE CARTER poured coffee from a silver service and a salad buffet was served from a table laid with a pink net embroidered cloth. Present were one guest, Mrs. W. S. EVANS, and Mmes.
