Here's Blackwell

Snyder attended the wedding of James Alderman and Margaret Hicks in
Eldorado, Saturday evening.

Mrs. Etta Patterson is visiting her brother and family in Buhl, Idaho.

Mrs. Nancy Bagley and grand-daughter Gail Lewallen are visiting relatives
in Brownwood.
 
Mr. and Mrs. C. M Whitaker are visiting relatives in Ft. Worth and Dallas.

Mrs. Rena Rendall, home economics teacher will start the Red Cross nursing
school Monday at 8:30.  It will be held at the school house and will last
thru Thursday.  Everyone will bring a covered dish and serve lunch at noon.
Ladies with small children can bring them to play on the school ground.
All ladies in the community are invited to attend.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tom Beauchamp and daughters are moving to Brownwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Bud Montgomery and sons of Pyote spent the weekend with
relatives in Blackwell and Hylton.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gene Conradt of Fort Worth spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Barry Raney at Blackwell.

Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Robbins of Knox City were Blackwell visitors Sunday.
 
Miss Jo Shinn, former classmate of Pam Sanderson, visited here last weekend.
 
Mrs. J. O. Oden is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Joe Oden and son at Anton.

Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Reaves, Mrs. J. D Holden and son of Austin spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Reaves.

Bobby Sanderson is attending Boy's State Rodeo in Austin this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Walls and daughters of Midland, Mrs. Allen Smith and son of
Chickasha, Okla., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Walls.
  
Bob Lane is ill in the Karen-Gayl Hospital in Bronte this week.
 
Nell Porter and Jeraldine Weddle of San Angelo spent the weekend in Blackwell.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tubb of Blackwell and Mr. Willie Tubb of Sanco visited
in Big Spring Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Hyatt had as their weekend guests his brother and family,
Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Hyatt of Oklahoma City.

The recent hail and wind did a lot of damage to the gardens and crops in
and around Blackwell.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Tucker and family of San Antonio have been visiting
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Tucker.  Howard Tucker returned home with them for a
short visit.
