News Story: Scholarship Awarded to Chelsea Cook Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Sep 2011 ************************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, Texas, Friday, August 13, 2010 Scholarship Awarded! Chelsea Cook, a recent graduate of Bronte High School, was announced as the winner of the $4,000 First Nation Bank Scholarship. The First National Bank of Sterling City has branch banks in Bronte and Garden City. Each year, three $4000 scholarships are awarded to graduates from the communities. Chelsea Cook, daughter of Dawn Tounget, competed with other Bronte High School Seniors for the award. Students were judged for academic achievement and community and school participation. Impartial judges interviewed each scholarship applicant to access their overall scores.
