McCutchen Birthday Bash Roping

On Saturday evening, June 26, 20 10, a buckle roping was held to celebrate 
the upcoming 50th birthday of  Coke County Sheriff Wayne McCutchen.  
Handcrafted buckles from Lone Star Silversmith were awarded to Garrett 
Gilliam, Coke County's Ag Extension Agent, and Cody Jackson, son of Darrell 
and Sherry Jackson. In honor of the occasion, spectators were pulling for
older ropers to win, but the kids were too fast.  Placing second were O/E 
publisher Hal Spain and Mark Saunders.  Following the roping, the crowd was 
treated to a fish fry/barbecue and of course, birthday cake.
