LEONARD

Dr. J. D. Leonard, pioneer physician
 
Dr. J. D. Leonard, pioneer physician here, was born Feb. 8 1872 a graduate 
of medical school at Little Rock, Ark., on April 10, 1903.  He came to Bronte 
May 1, 1903.  Pioneer doctors were also dentist, surgeons, ministering to all 
human ailments; Mrs. Leonard is still a Bronte resident.

(James Daniel Leonard passed away at the age of 89, August 17, 1961 in 
Sterling City, Texas and burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Bronte)

The Enterprise has written a story taken from his autobiography which will be 
run at a later date. (A photo accompanied this story)
