Newstory: Farrington 65th Wedding Anniversary, April 12, 2012 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Feb 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - April 20, 2012 65th Wedding Anniversary! Floyd Wesley Farrington and Shirley Ann Perry married April 12, 1947, in McCamey, Texas. They celebrated their 65th anniversary at their home in Bronte, where they've lived and ranched over the past 30 years. Floyd is a veteran of the WWII Naval Submarine Service. He owned and operated Miles Paint and Body Shop when they lived in Miles, Texas. He is a Master Mason in the Miles Chapter of the Masonic Lodge. Shirley is a home maker and helped Floyd as bookkeeper, travel companion, and with ranching responsibilities. They've packed up their RV and taken many trips with their grandchildren over the years. One of their favorite places to take grandsons was Lake Amistad. While Floyd worked for Infilco Degremont Corporation as a Field Service Engineer, they traveled to Egypt, Taiwan, Jamaica, and many other places. They have two daughters, Kathy McCown and husband Sid, and Linda Dagenhart and husband John, seven grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren.
