Fancher to celebrate 100th Birthday

On October 15, Virdis Fancher will be 100 years young.  There will be 
a community wide birthday party for Virdis from 2 pm to 4pm on Saturday, 
October 14, 2006, sponsored by many of Virdis' good friends.  Virdis 
is quite active and is often told she looks much younger than she really 
is.  She never misses a bingo game, singing event or party and always 
sees everyone when they are going on an outing.

Virdis tells stories about growing up in the old town of Fort Chadbourne 
and working in her father's store or going to the two room schoolhouse.  
She married and raised a son and has many loving grandchildren that 
now reside near Conroe in the Magnolia area.

Virdis has seen many changes in her life of 100 years and it is 
interesting to hear what stories of her life she has to tell.  Please 
come and help wish Virdis a very special Happy Birthday on October 14.
