Eastern Star Fundraiser

Robert Lee-Bronte Order of Eastern Star serve ice cream to BVFD & EMS

The chapter held their annual fundraiser (Sale of Krispy Kreme Donuts) 
to help fund the scholarships they give to a graduating senior from 
Robert Lee and Bronte each year.  Dolores Roe, chairman of the finance 
committee, organized the fundraiser.  The people in Bronte and Robert Lee 
areas always support this fundraiser and the chapter truly appreciates 
the support.

The Robert Lee-Bronte Chapter No. 187, Order of the Eastern Star served 
homemade ice cream and cookies to the Bronte Volunteer Fire Department 
and EMS before their regular meeting, July 12, 2010.  Our chapter truly 
appreciates those who volunteer in our communities in Coke County.  
This was to show our appreciation to these volunteers.

These members present of the Fire Department were: Fire Chief - Terry Queen, 
Jeff Lee, Jerry Parker, David McWright, Riley Coalson, Curtis Moore, 
William Preston, Coby Carper, Blake Braswell, Stephen Salmon and Matt Morris.  
Jan Magness and Jerome Hanna both serve on the Fire Department and EMS.  
Others present who are members of Bronte EMS were Larry and Gwen Dyess, 
and Marilyn Bivins.  Angel Cervenka - Teen Chamber helper and 
Larry Cathey - Texas Forest Services were present, also.
 
Eastern Star members who made and served  homemade ice cream were Jeffie and 
Bobby Roberts, George and Melba Gray, Mary Beth Drennan, Dolores Roe, and 
Keith and Lanette Fletcher.  Other members present and assisting were 
Bobby Blaylock, and Joe "Froggy" and Janie Barnes.  Lanette Fletcher 
served as Chairman in planning this event.

Robert Lee- Bronte Order of Eastern Star

The Robert Lee-Bronte Chapter No. 187 Order of the Eastern Star held their 
Installation of Officers on June 10, 2010, at the Masonic Lodge Hall in 
Robert Lee.

Those serving as officers for 2010-2011 are: Jeffie Roberts - Worthy Matron, 
Bobby Roberts - Worthy Patron, Melba Gray - Associate Matron, 
George Gray - Associate Patron, Beverly Sinclair - Secretary, 
Delores Roe - Treasurer, Gayna Eldred - Conductress, 
Lanette Flecther - Associate Conductress, E. E. "Buddy" Eldred - Chaplain, 
Grady Coulter - Marshal, Janie Barnes - Organist, Dovie Cummins - Ruth, 
Ettie Hubbard - Esther, Mary Beth Drennan - Martha, Melissa Blaylock - Electra, 
Bobby Blaylock - Warder and Joe "Froggy" Barnes - Sentinel.
