MARRIAGE: Mildred Wallace and Robert Reese, Jr. Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines November 2010 ************************************************************************** The Observer, Robert Lee, Texas February 14, 1974 Mildred Wallace, Robert Reese, Jr., Married Feb. 8 Mildred (Bo) Wallace and Robert Reese, Jr. Were married in a candlelight ceremony at the Northside Church of Christ, Friday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m. Kenneth Green, minister of the church, officiated. Parents of the bride and groom are Mr. And Mrs. Calvin Wallace of Robert Lee and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reese Sr. of Ralls. Matron of honor was Mrs. Edna Havins, sister of the bride. Phil Reese of Ralls served as best man for his brother. Ushers were Buddy Wallace and Morris Wallace, nephews of the bride. Linda Havins and Susan Wallace were candlelighters. Donna Wallace registered guests. All are nieces of the bride. Wedding music was presented by Mrs. Rick Srikijkarn, vocalist of Arlington, also a niece of the bride. The reception was held in the home of Mrs. Havins. Serving the guests were Mrs. Jackie Smith, Jan Havins and Margaret Allen, nieces of the bride. Wallace of Pecos; Donna Wallace, Jan Havins and Layne Smith of San Angelo. *************************************************************************** The Observer, Robert Lee, Coke County, 1974 (clipping from scrapbook of Alice Roberts Benton) Mrs. Robert Reese, Jr. Honoree at Bridal Tea Mrs. Robert Reese, Jr., nee Mildred Wallace; was honored with a bridal tea Saturday, March 2, 1974 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Robert Lee Recreation hall. A theme of yellow and white was used on the registry table and serving table. The centerpiece was of white and yellow daisies in a silver candelabrum with yellow candles on a reflector. Appointments were of crystal and silver. Registering guests were Mrs. Barton Waldrop, Mrs. Weldon Fikes and Mrs. Jerry Thomason. Sixty persons were registered. Special guests were the bride's mother, Mrs. Calvin Wallace of Robert Lee, and the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Robert Reese, Sr., Ralls, Texas. Hostesses were Mmes.
