Mr. Willis “Bill” Mills
Mr. Willis “Bill” Mills, 79, of Jacksonville died Friday morning in the Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. He was born July 24, 1928 in Guin Alabama to Jeremiah Matt Mills and Mary Pugh Mills. He lived in Jacksonville for the past two years, having lived in Texas City for nine years prior to that. He lived in Jacksonville for 20 years prior to moving to Texas City. He was an advertising salesman with City Directories and Mills Publishing Co. Mr. Mills served in the U.S. Air Force. Bill Mills is survived by his wife, Norma Mills, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Dianne and Gloria Bruce; a sister, Mae Young; brother, William Mills; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Renfro Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville with Pastor Ronnie Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Tillman Cemetery under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Pallbearers will be Craig Fisher, Robert Davis, Irby Ray, Mark Ray, Ronnie Oliver and Keith Oliver.
