MABLE E. SADLER

Funeral for Mable E. Sadler, 84, of Rusk was at 1 p.m., Friday, March 7, in the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Nied and the Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Burial was in Old Palestine Cemetery. Mrs. Sadler died March 4. She was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Rusk to John and Eva Arnold Boone. She was a life long Cherokee County resident and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was nursery coordinator for First Baptist Church in Rusk and Calvary Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Sadler retired from Rusk State Hospital on May 31, 1998, after 19.5 years of service. Preceding her in death was her husband, Carl Marion Sadler.

Survivors are three sons and daughters-in-law, Louis and Karen Sadler, Randy and Terrie Sadler and Rickey and Lucille Sadler, all of Gallatin; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Randy Sadler, Louis Sadler, Keith Clements, Jory Sadler, Caleb Sadler and Cory Spurlock.

Arrangements were under the direction of Wallace- Thompson Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Old Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk. Mrs. Sadler died March 4, 2008 in a Tyler Hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1923 in Rusk to John and Eva Arnold of Boone. She was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rusk. She was a nursery coordinator for First Baptist Church in Rusk and Calvary Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Sadler retired for from Rusk State Hospital on May 31, 1998 after more than 19 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Marion Sadler. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Louis and Karen Sadler of Gallatin, Randy and Terrie Sadler of Gallatin and Rickey and Lucille Sadler of Gallatin; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will include Randy Sadler, Louis Sadler, Keith Clements, Jory Sadler, Caleb Sadler and Cory Spurlock. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the funeral home.
