George Alex Worlow, Sr.,
Graveside services for George Alex Worlow, Sr., 81, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Frankston City Cemetery, with Mr. Davy Carter officiating, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home of Frankston. Mr. Worlow died Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Frankston. He was born May 24, 1926, in Ft. Worth. He was a journeyman electrician, and he attended a Pentecostal church. He was a member of Local Electrical Union 479 and Vidor VFW. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Clinton Boyd; and by three sisters and a brother. Survivors include his sons and their spouses, George A. Worlow, Jr. and Margaret of Vidor, Gary C. Worlow and Patti of Longview and Gordon G. Worlow of Orange; his daughters and their spouses, Patricia Matthews and Johnny of Wills Point and Paula McLane and Gordon of Neches; his sisters and spouses, LaFlora “Dutch” Davis, Junie Record and Florence Hand, all of Ft. Worth; his six grandchildren and nine great-grand children. Honorary pallbearers include Johnny Matthews, Gordon McLane, Alex Worlow, Kevin Worlow, Dennis McLane, Bradley McLane and Claud Almond.
