CHARLES EDWARD TOBIAS
Funeral for Charles Edward Tobias, 58, of Tyler, formerly of Alto was at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alto Missionary Baptist Church with Elton DeMoraes officiating. Burial was in Old Palestine Cemetery.
Mr. Tobias died Saturday. He was born Oct. 12, 1949, in Jacksonville to Tom Edward and Mattie Lavon Creel Tobias. He was a member of the Tyler Seventh Day Adventist Church. He worked for Loggins Pluming Company. Preceding him in death were his brother, Jackie Hicks and his father, Tom Edward Tobias.
Survivors are his father and step-mother, Earl and Nell Hicks of Alto; his mother, Lavon Hicks of Wells; his wife, Mary Tobias of Tyler; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Bridget Tobias of Lufkin, Chris and Lindsey Tobias of Lufkin and Edward and Ashley Anderson of Rusk; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Michael Linton of Alto and Jennifer and Cody Baker of Rusk; a brother and sister-in-law, Tommy Gerald and Susan Tobias of Wells; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Wayne Montes of Wells; 15 grandchildren, Lucchesse, Destini, Logan, Brailey, Sarah, David John, Dakota, Kaley, Brayden, Allie, Alex, Addie, Camron, Skylar and Quinton. Pallbearers were Eddie Jones, Justin Jones, Mickey Johnson, Ricky Selman, Edward Creel and Howell Jackson. O.T. Allen & Son was in charge.
