CLAUD EARLY HOOT
 

Funeral for Claud Early Hoot, 80, of Alto, formerly of Corrigan, was at 11 a.m. Friday in the Corrigan Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Lesley Wilkinson and the Rev. Claud S. Hoot officiating. Burial was in the Carmona Cemetery.

Mr. Hoot died Oct. 30. He was born Oct. 10, 1927, in Mt. Rose. He was a sawyer in the lumber industry and a Baptist minister. He pastored several churches for many years.

Preceding him in death by his wife of more than 59 years, Betty Jean Lott Hoot; his parents, John Hubbard and Bessie Murphy Hoot; a brother, Lloyd Hoot; and granddaughter, Mystie Michelle Isaacks.

Survivors are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Claud S. and Carol Hoot, Jerry and Mary Hoot and Rex Hoot, all of Corrigan, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and George Murphy of Corrigan and Mary and Tommy Selman of Alto; brother: H.L. Hoot of Hamilton; sister: Evelyn Capps of Cleveland; grandchildren, Pete Cowen, Sherman Hoot, Keri Bowman, Cassidy Mc- Clendon, Rose Hoot, Jeanie Selman, Julie McGuinty, Jerry Hoot Jr., John Hoot and Brandi Luce; great-grandchildren: Cheyenne Cowen, Dakota Cowen, Dylan Sturrock, Caleb Hoot, Reagen Faye McGuinty, Josh Hoot, Katie Hoot, Haley Luce, Coty Luce, Peyton Bowman, Zack Bowman, and Reagen Bowman and numerous relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Pete Cowen, Sherman Hoot, Josh Hoot, John Hoot, John McGuinty, Jason Bowman and Larry Burris. Great-grandsons were honorary pallbearers.
