ALICE PAULINE HODGES

Funeral for Alice Pauline Hodges, 81, of Wells, was at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Maddox officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Wells.

Mrs. Hodges died Saturday. She was born May 23, 1926, in Wells to George Carol and Jettie Ann Vinson Goodwin. She lived most of her life in Wells and was a member of the Living Waters Church. She worked at Lufkin State School for 10 years and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Hodges; a brother, Denman (Buddy) Goodwin; and a son-inlaw, Garland Parise. Survivors are three sons and two daughters in-law, W.C. (Dub) and JoAnn Hodges and Arnold Ray Hodges, all of Wells and Harvey and Glenda Hodges of Lufkin; two daughters and a son-in law, Ann and James Barron of Alto and Alice Parise of Lufkin; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Johnny Woodard of Nacogdoches; special nephew and his wife, Johnny Ray and Glenda Goodwin of DeQuincy, La.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. Grandsons and great-grandsons served as pallbearers.
