MARY ANN EDMISTON THOMASON

 

Funeral for Mary Ann Edmiston Thomason, 86, of Jacksonville was at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Slocum officiating. Burial was in Rocky Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomason died Jan. 17. She was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Jacksonville to Homer Lee Edmiston and Mary Belle Grimes Edmiston.

Mrs. Thomason was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Homer Lee Edmiston and Mary Belle Grimes Edmiston; husband, George Weldon Thomason; and brother, M. W. Edmiston.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Howard Lee and Sandie Thomason of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Charles Collins of Baytown; brother Robert Lee Edmiston of Bremen,Ga.; sister Ruth Christian of Coppell; two grandsons, Christopher Lewis Collins and wife Alice and Steven Lewis Collins, all of Baytown; two great-grandchildren, Danielle Collins and Derrick Collins, both of Baytown; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were John W. Thomason Jr., Howard Nesselhauf, Max Thomason, David Thomason, Brian Thomason and John Neal Thomason.
