Funeral services for R. C. Swinney, 77, of Jacksonville will be held at
2 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, with Al Parr
officiating.
Burial will be held at Tecula Cemetery, Tecula.
Mr. Swinney died Monday, May 28 in a Tyler hospital.
He was born June 11, 1929 in Cherokee County.
He was an auto mechanic and a member of Corinth Road Church of Christ,
Jacksonville.
Mr. Swinney is survived by his brother Bob Swinney and wife Mona of
Jacksonville and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Leldon Scruggs, Frank Scruggs, Carroll Bettis, Jackie
Warren, Coy Scruggs and Wayne Bolton.
Honorary pallbearer is Loy Junior Scruggs.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 at Thompson Funeral Home.
