  VERDIE ANN LUSK

Graveside service for Verdie Ann Lusk, 87, of Kaufman was at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 5, in the Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery with the Rev. Don Copeland officiating.

Mrs. Lusk died Dec. 2. She was born May 2, 1921, to the late Walter S. and Mae Jones. Mrs. Lusk was a Rusk resident for 77 years before moving to Kaufman 10 years ago. She was Baptist and gardener.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Floyd Lusk, Dec. 4, 1991; two brothers, Arthur Jones and Forrest Jones; and one sister.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Floyd and Mitzie Lusk, R.L. and Betty Lusk and James Lusk, all of Houston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Dennis Hughey of Kaufman and Betty and Louis Moore of Houston; a sister, Dorothy Marmor of Houston; nine grandchildren, Scott, Keith, Alicia and Teresa Lusk of Houston, Michelle Chambliss of Santa Fe, Micaela Hernandez and Megan Zintek of Houston, Walter Hughey of Kaufman and Marcella Blunt of Mesquite; 16 great-grandchildren, six great great grandchildren.

Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
