JAMES CLYDE (J.C.) LOWRY

Funeral for James Clyde (J.C.) Lowry, 77, of Alto was at 2 p.m. Saturday in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gary Pridmore officiating. Burial was in Old Palestine Cemetery.

Mr. Lowery died Dec. 16. He was born Dec. 25, 1930, in Texarkana to Cecil and Mae Bell Adams Lowry. He lived in Alto for several years. He worked for Houston Electric & Power Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Nacogdoches VFW No. 3893. Survivors are his wife, Alma Jean Lowry of Alto; a son and daughter-in-law, James Kevin and Sheila Lowry of Conroe; a daughter and son in law, Teresa and Martin North of Mansfield; a brother, Don Ray Lowry of Houston; grandchildren, Tricia Danell Petrovich, Calvin Dwayne Carpentar, Crystal Ann Diaz and James Martin North; great-grandchildren, Kali Petrovich, Cole Pennington, Merci Diaz and Isaac Diaz.

Pallbearers were Calvin Lowry, James North, Marion Lloyd Adams, Fred Swain, Sean Petrovich and Ron Perez. Don Ray Lowry was an honorary pallbearer.
