LAURA LEA LINDSEY
Funeral for Laura Lea Lindsey, 47, of Elkhart, formerly of Alto, will be at 2 pm. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Alto Community Fellowship with the Rev. David Darst officiating. Burial will be in Old Palestine Cemetery.
Mrs. Lindsey died Sunday. She was born Aug. 14, 1961, in El Paso to Donald Gene and Thelma (Dee) Fitch Mindiola. She lived in Elkhart for seven years and in Alto and Forest most of her life. She was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church. She worked at the Bank of America in Lufkin, the City of Alto, was an Alto municipal judge, was employed by Lyons Butane and was a reservation representative for Walt Disney Co.Her father Donald Gene Mindiola preceded her in death. Survivors are her husband, Jim Bob Lindsey of Elkhart; her mother, Dee Mindiola of Forest; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Bradley Joe Pounds of Austin, Christopher Lee and Holli Pounds of Wells, Joshua Shane and Jessica Lindsey of Alto and Justin Todd and Whitney Lindsey of Nacogdcohes; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Bart Nicholson of Lynnwood, Wash. and Peggy and Steve Evans of Lufkin; grandchildren, Joshua Clay Pounds, James Braedon Lindsey, Gracie Lane Lindsey, Kade Christopher Pounds and Addison Faith Lindsey; nieces, Jade Michelle Evans and Lindsey DeAnn Evans of Lufkin and Ashley Curry of Palestine; a nephew, Jared Kit Lindsey of Houston. Pallbearers will be Greg Jones, Mack Carnes, Steve McCarty, Keith Jackson, Kenny Calloway and Ricky Glaze.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Joe Pounds, Donnie Carver, Charles Barron, Donnie Click, Randy McClesky and Harvey Hodges.
