Joanne E. Howard

Graveside services for Joanne E. Howard, 69, of Rusk will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Rusk with Rev. Lee Welch officiating under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Joanne was born April 13, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio. She had previously lived in Arkansas, California, and Jacksonville, at the Travis Towers before becoming a resident at Lexington Place Nursing Home in Rusk where she died on Friday, May 9, 2008. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Lela Lanier, and several uncles and aunts. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Perry and Mae Clark of Rusk; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores Jean and George Veltman of Ft. Myers, Fla., several nieces and nephews and one aunt, Marcella Blough of Wadsworth, Ohio. Visitation will be held at Boren-Conner Funeral Home Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Published in the Jacksonville Daily Progress on 5/11/2008.
