Funeral for Della Mae Hopper, 77, of Rusk was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Renfro Memorial chapel of the Boren-Conner Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Copeland officiating.

Burial was in Mount Comfort Cemetery.

Mrs. Hopper died May 21. She was born April 19, 1931 in Maydelle, and was a lifelong resident of the Rusk area. She was a waitress and cook, and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe D. Hopper; and daughters, Della Jo Foreman and Billy Jean Hopper.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Deanna Hopper of Jacksonville; two daughters and a sonin law, Martha Williams of Jacksonville, and Phyllis and Ben Salazar of Dialville; four sisters-in-law one brother-inlaw; 16 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kelly Gene Collins, B.J. Collins, Joey Foreman, Terry Hopper, Dustin Hopper Myers and Randy Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Beto Barron, Jimmy Lee Hugghins, Eddie Foreman and Anthony Cline.

Funeral services for Mrs. Della Mae Hopper, 77, of Rusk will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Renfro Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville, with Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Maydelle under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home. Mrs. Hopper was born April 19, 1931, in Maydelle to Joseph Henry and Josie Idella Harris Phillips. She was a lifetime resident of the Rusk area. She worked as a waitress and cook and was a Baptist. Mrs. Hopper was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe D. Hopper, and two daughters, Della Jo Foreman and Billy Jean Hopper. Mrs. Hopper is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Deanna Hopper of Jacksonville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Martha Williams of Jacksonville, and Phyllis and Ben Salazar of Dialville; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
