Belah L. Grimes

Funeral services for Belah L. Grimes, 73, of Copperas Cove will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Oakland Cemetery in Rusk. Mrs. Grimes died Sunday, Aug, 3, 2008, at a Copperas Cove nursing home. She was born May 21, 1935, in Corpus Christi. She was raised in Alice; attended Del Mar Collage in Corpus Christi; married George B. Grimes in 1956; she worked as a Book Binder in Dallas; an Equipment Assembler; and later as a Home Health Care Provider in Jacksonville; she was member of Church of Christ; former member of TOPPS; Honorary pallbearers are Chad and Dusten Grimes, Fred Strayhorn, Eric Passmore, Tim Porter and Kenneth Lusk. She was preceded in death by her, husband, George B. Grimes She is survived by her sons, Dale and his wife Theda Grimes and Geral Grimes of Jacksonville and Dean Grimes of Dallas; daughter, Jewel and her husband Tim Porter of Copperas Cove; sisters, Elna Sciba of Houston and Gladys Hinze of Rogers, AR; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
