Dorothy Marie “Dot” Gregson
Services for Dorothy Marie “Dot” Gregson, 76, of Jacksonville and
formerly of Reklaw, will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday at the Dickie Allen
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Page officiating.
Burial will be in the Walker Chapel Cemetery in Reklaw.
Mrs. Gregson died Saturday in Jacksonville.
She was born July 18, 1930 in Houston to Johnny E. and Ava Marie Roten
Wade.
She lived in Reklaw for many years and lived near Jacksonville for the
last year-and-a-half. She was a homemaker whose greatest pleasure in
life was cleaning and preparing a table full of food for her family and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Ronald E.
Wade.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Amos L. Gregson of
Jacksonville; her son and daughter-in-law Johnny and Vicki Gregson of
Willis, Texas; her daughter Patricia Arrington of Dallas and her
daughter and son-in-law Colleen and Jessie Smith of Garland, Texas; five
grandchildren, Lisa Horn Sciarrini, Brandon Gregson, Barrett Gregson,
Alicia Worsham and her husband Ty and Jessie Nicole Smith and one
great-grandchild, Conner Sciarrini.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Gregson, Barrett Gregson, Gene Womack,
Richard Womack, Billy Gregson and Karl Dean Gregson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Womack, Donald Womack and Charles
Womack.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dickie Allen
Funeral Home in Cushing.
